My senior year has started off pretty good, these two weeks have just flown by; this has to be a year to remember so I’m going to make the best out of every situation. It is so crazy to think that this is the last year I will be attending the same school as all my friends I grew up with. We have gone through some crazy times in the 4 years of high school and honestly they were the best moments I have ever had.
So far I am on pace with my classes I just need to finish this last year of english, government and economics that I will be taking next semester. I am on pace because I worked hard the last three years so I wouldn’t have to worry about not having enough credits to graduate and because I love playing sports with my friends. However right now I have not started my senior project so that is something I need to focus on. I feel like the job shadow will be a really good experience for me because it will help me see a little part of the job I want to do some day. I would like to finish my senior project by the early completion date so I am going to have to work hard to reach my goal.
What I am most looking forward to is playing my last year of sports. Football is honestly my favorite part about starting school nothing is better than taking the field on a Friday night with your brothers after a hard week of practice. If you have ever played the game you know the feeling I am talking about; that feeling when you’re about to take the field and the butterflies you get knowing everyone is there to watch us do our thing, then being able to spell out your school name letting everyone know where you come from that’s the best feeling. Also I really can’t wait to play strathmore for the bell game, hopefully bring the bell back, and to play them in basketball over there in their gym because I like when they talk trash about us; it makes me play better just so I can shut them up.
My goals this year is to go off on football so maybe I could get recruited to go play after high school because I know I am going to miss playing the sport. But my main goal is to graduate high school then continue to attend school somewhere and try and play a sport at the next level. If I don’t make it into any sports I will just attend school and wait until I turn 21 so I can go into the academy and become a correctional officer. All of my goals won't come easy, and it really does all start here. My last year to mature and prepare myself for the real world, and I am ready for that journey.
