I am somewhat nervous for graduation because I know I still need to complete all my classes to graduate, but then I am counting down how many days we have left until we finally leave this school. I am nervous to see what it’s going to be like without seeing all the friends I have grew up with every year because I am so used to getting to those two months of summer vacation then coming back to LHS and talk to them about what we did during the summer. I just hope we can all stay in touch and attend some of the sporting events they will have in the future together and play in the alumni basketball game. I have applied to the colleges I am trying to attend in the future to hope to get a higher education.
What I still need to complete before I graduate is my exit interview and complete all my classes this semester. Which I know I will get done it’s a must. When I am at college what I am really going to be looking forward to is meeting new people that I have never seen, never talk to or know anything about. Coming from a small school like Lindsay High everyone knows each other or think they know each other, it’s just going to be different and I am excited about that. I am also excited to attend a college party in movies they make it look so much fun and I really want to experience that. I am also looking forward to attending college sporting events like football and basketball especially if they are rocking other teams. If college doesn't end up working out for me I will have my own job and making my own money which is great because I won’t have to ask my mom for money anymore. The most important thing I am looking forward to after graduation is trying to live on my own and have my own house and car.
Looking back on my senior year it was a bittersweet feeling because we didn’t get to win the bell back but we got to make playoffs for football. For basketball we got to get payback on Strathmore and beat them twice and we also made it to playoffs. Overall it was a great run we had as seniors I made a lot of memories with some of my closest friends, the memories I have with them will never be forgotten. What I am most grateful for is my family because they pushed me to get to where I am right now. My mom raised me pretty much by herself and she always wanted what was best for me. My sisters were there for me a lot too when my mom couldn’t be there and I appreciate everything they have done for me.
